People often ask me what my favourite ever celebrity interview was and I often say “What?” coz I’m either confused or not listening to them properly. The truth is everyone’s been pretty boring coz they’re usually just trying to sell stuff (i.e. a new movie, an album, themselves), except Emma Roberts, who was kinda mean and made me feel like a little kid coz my questions were so bad.

Anyway, this month I got the chance to interview Katy Perry while she was in Sydney and I think she’s my new favourite celeb, and not just because she’s super-pretty and was wearing the shortest skirt I’ve ever seen (not including tennis matches). We’ll run the whole interview at some point in the near future, but in the meantime, these are a few cool things I found out about her during our chat:

1. Her favourite Jelly Belly flavour is “juicy pear”.
2. Her favourite colour is baby blue.
3. She smells like coconut raindrops.

I had my first ever brush with paparazzi when I was leaving the hotel where I interviewed her. A few old guys with greasy hair and awesome cameras were hanging out by the doorway and took my picture as I walked past. Paparazzi are pretty dumb, like goldfish or babies. It’s like they have no idea who’s famous or not, so they just take photos of everyone in the area and hope they get lucky. I’m pretty sure some of them were taking photos of seagulls.
