The products a beauty ed really uses...

I get asked a lot of questions in my job: “How do you get rid of zits?”, “What’s your best skin care tip?”, “Why does your hair look so dirty?” (Answer: Salicylic; sunscreen; it IS dirty.) Most have simple enough answers, and mostly I like answering them. It’s like karmic retribution for always being the one asking the questions.

But the one question I loathe more than anything is: “What’s the best [insert product type here]?” That’s like taking me to Haigh’s chocolate factory and telling me to try JUST ONE. I’d have a better chance at creating world peace than answering that question. It’s not that I’m really crap at my job (err, I hope!), it’s just that, shockingly, there is no one miracle product that works for Every. Single. Person. It’s all about colouring, types, and personal preference.

My second most hated question is: “What do YOU use?” Because, well, I’m completely fickle with beauty. One month I’ll swear my life away to coral, and the next be rocking a watermelon gloss.

So, what’s the point of this rant? I’m a hater that doesn’t like to share? Well, that’s not entirely true. I share sometimes. Like right about now, where I’m gonna spill what I’m using At. This. Second. Next month it’ll probably be a different story but whatevs, I am answering my most hated question. Coz I love you all that much. This peek into my beauty stash will prove why I am qualified to write these pages. I clearly have an illness... but one I am happy to suffer from.

Nails: Chanel’s Vendetta (obsessed) and OPI’s Mod About You (a staple).

Body: Body Shop Body Butters in Vitamin E, Grapefruit, and Moroccan Rose. Obsessive, me?!

Skin: Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel; Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture; Sunsense 30+ Daily Face. I’m also fanatical about Cosmedicine that you get at KIT. They have a mattifier that stops the oil slick, day after day.

Makeup: I have enough makeup to sink the Titanic, but in my stash right now is: Revlon Foundation; Proof Black Eyeshadow; Napoleon Eye Dust (#37); Sebamed Tinted Pimple Cream, and Make Up Store Concealer. As for lip glosses, I own too many to count but at the moment I have two Revlon lip stains and Smiths Rosebud
salve... And that’s just in my handbag.

Hair: Schwarzkopf Blonde Me, or  L’Oreal Professionnel Shine Blonde. I’m mad for a hair mask too. Three live in my shower: Pantene 3 Minute Miracle, Garnier Melt In, and Kerastase.

I love the neutrogena oil free moisteriser, because it's great for my skin. It doesn't leave it feeling oily and I know that it helps with my blmishes.

i love loreal paris mineral powder, it gets rid of the shine from my oily skin but it doesnt clog the pores or make my skin looked caked in make up, so you can pretend that you're not wearing it. in other words mineral make up is a girls best friend.
