TOP GAME: METROID PRIME 3: CORRUPTION

You'd think an amazing first person shooter would be a no brainer on Wii, but up until now there hasn't been a single one that's blown us away. Well, that all changed the second we started blasting our way through Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

From the incredible array of weapons to the out-of-this-world bad guys you get to unload them at, Corruption is everything you could want from a sci-fi shooter and then some. The new control system is a touch of genius, letting you aim your weapons, swing your grappling hook - even enter security codes - as if you were actually doing it yourself. It puts you right inside the game and makes every battle or brain-busting puzzle an absolute pleasure to take part in.

Of course, if you're a fan of the Metroid series so far, you'll know that these games aren't just about shooting everything in sight. Exploring the expertly designed levels (which are some of the series best-looking efforts to date), scanning objects for clues and searching out hidden upgrades for your space suit are hugely important parts of the game, meaning there's a lot of adventuring to do while you get your gun play fix.

The only reason we can come up with for not buying this game is not having a Wii... and we can't think of ANY reason why you wouldn't have a Wii now it's got games as good as this. Do yourself a favour and put this on your 'don't miss' list right now.
