He is: “Sooooo boring! Unless of course you like those sorts of things, in which case swap the word ‘boring’ with ‘perfect’!”

He likes to talk about: Whether Australia should take more refugees, the conflict in the Middle East, and the influence of America on Australian culture.

THE FOLLOWER
He reads: Bestsellers/Oprah’s Book Club.
He is: “Either really swayed by others’ opinions or good to his family. How can you tell? Well, it depends on the condition of the books. If they’re well-worn, he actually enjoys reading this type of book and will follow all the latest trends, but if they look brand-new, they’re probably just presents from his family that he doesn’t like and only keeps coz he’s nice and doesn’t want to hurt them.”

He likes to talk about: Blockbuster movies, Top 40 music, and his fam.

THE TWIHARD
He reads: The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer.
He is: “Either someone who likes vampires, or he IS a vampire. It’s probably the first one, but I would stay away anyway because you can never be too careful.”

He likes to talk about: Whether you’re on Team Edward or Team Jacob, the amazingness of Taylor Lautner’s abs, and the wackness of naming a baby Renesmee.

THE BLOKE
He reads: Lad mags.
He is: “One of two types of guys who ‘read’ lad mags: 1 – The type who just looks at the pictures, or 2 – The type who just looks at the pictures but tells you that he really loves the articles. The second type is better – he’ll at least try to impress you... kinda.”

He likes to talk about: How hilarious his mates are, how much he’s going to party on the weekend, and how hot Megan Fox is.

THE FIT BOY
He reads: Books and magazines about fitness.
He is: “Into taking care of himself, but probably boring to eat with. Like on a Sunday brunch date when all you feel like is some eggs, bacon and a hash brown, or a burger, he’ll insist on having a grilled chicken breast and a protein shake. Way to take the fun out of food!”

He likes to talk about: The health benefits of chickpeas, the joys of running on the beach, and how many chin-ups he can do.

THE NON-READER
He reads: Nothing.
He is: “Possibly blind. If he also takes his dog into the cinema and wears his sunglasses indoors, it most likely is blindness. Otherwise, the dude just doesn’t like to read, which is cool if you don’t like books, but it could be a ticket to Snoozeville if you do.”

He likes to talk about: Um, pretty much anything but books.
