It wasn't just the half day off school that had Clinique comp winner, Danielle Holgate smiling last Friday. The lucky chick not only won $500 of Clinique product but also the chance to star in a beauty shoot at GF HQ - umm, awesome much???

Besides the obvs facebook profile, Danielle was a first timer in front of the camera... not that you could tell! The girl was an absolute freakin' natural! So the shoot was directed and styled by yours truly, and the whole vibe was about clean, fresh skin... the kinda skin you only get from using the right and best products for your face. This is where Clinique three-step comes in. Designed especially for teen skins, it's a routine that you'll love more your Tuesday night TV sesh with GG.

Now I've done a whole lotta shoots for GF, but I have to say, this was one of the easiet, funnest shoots eva. Danielle rocked up on the day fresh faced and clear skinned. To say we had an amazing 'canvas' to work with was an understatement. After the regulatory gushing over hair/ lashes/ skin envy (me, to her) and complaints about school (her to me) we set to work. The hair and makeup artist (Di Dusting) meticulously created a flawless dewy 'natural' look (which actually takes about 45 mins...) and then, Danielle was styled into an outfit and whacked in front of the camera.

The first shots were about using the product, and this is where Danielle learnt the 'glamour' of photo shoots. In order to get the 'perfect shot' we used about 1/2 a bottle of foaming cleanser, with both myself and the makeup artist on hand to create the right about of foam. Then onto moisturiser, where the makeup artist and I placed the prettiest moisturiser swipe on Danielle's cheek. To get this shot, I was standing on a milk crate (told ya it was glam!) jumping up and down to make her giggle. Four Tyra-style 'best shots' later, it was onto the makeover.

Di created a glam, Versace-esque eye using Clinique shadows and lashings of High Impact mascara. As a self-declared non- makeup wearer, Danielle was loving the new glam look. An outfit change later, and back in front of the camera. We wanted some wind in her hair, which Danielle was surprised to see came from a hand-held hair dryer (double the glam!) but this time, she was a pro in front of the camera, and we had the shot in 5 mins flat.

Then came the best part of the day: the prize-presentation. It was like that bugs bunny cartoon where the eyes pop out of the sockets....she was THAT excited. Hell, I was excited (and, um totes jealous) at the amount of product she got. And then, it was home time - * sigh *. After all that excitement, it was to the chocolate machine for me for some much needed sustenance, and off to play with her beauty loot for Danielle.

Check out the pics of the day HERE!
